SHANGHAI, October 18, 2013 – Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd., (Boeing Shanghai) has successfully completed the first of three 737-400 passenger-to-freighter (PTF) conversions for Yangtze River Express under a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) held by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. “The reason that Yangtze River selected AEI’s STC is their proposal provides the largest transport capacity compared to the others which can meet the highest demands for our customers.  We chose cooperating with Boeing Shanghai because of Boeing’s strong technical support and Boeing Shanghai’s vitality.  We hope this successful PTF conversion program is a good start for our future cooperation with Boeing Shanghai in more areas,” said by Liu Zhongqing, Vice President of Yangtze River Express.

“The Yangtze River and AEI relationship provides an excellent example of developing key business solutions to meet market requirements and to maximize Boeing Shanghai’s capabilities.  We are honored to have earned the trust and confidence that such a strategic partnership requires,” said Dermot Swan, CEO of Boeing Shanghai. “This completion is a testament to the value that 737-400 freighter conversion will bring to the airline's fleet.  We look forward to further strengthening this relationship to fulfill the airlines’ future demand.
