Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Celebrates New Hangar Opening

Brief View: MRO facility expands capacity and capabilities provided to global customer



Shanghai, China – Jun 17th 2026 – Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd (BSAS) today announced the opening of its new, state-of-the-art hangar, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of the MRO entity which has served the global aviation industry for 20 years from its base at Shanghai Pudong international airport. 

The new hangar, strategically located in the Lingang Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Shanghai, is designed to accommodate four widebody and two narrowbody aircraft simultaneously. This facility, equipped with advanced backshops and maintaining high safety and quality standards, will enable BSAS to continue providing a full range of MRO services such as bonded aircraft maintenance and modification, engineering services, and aircraft material management.

Compared with its previous facility, the new BSAS hangar, the largest single span structure among its kind in China, offers greater capacity and capability to meet rising demand of global and domestic airlines for highly efficient services.
