Boeing Shanghai Successfully Completes the First Full Paint on a B737-700 for China Eastern Airlines

Shanghai, Apr.19 2012, Boeing Shanghai (BSH) and China Eastern Airlines (CEA) today celebrated the completion of the first full paint on a B737-700 for China Eastern Airlines at Boeing Shanghai’s hangar at Shanghai Pudong Airport.  This airplane was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on Apr. 23, 2012.

“The successful completion of the full paint on this B737-700 reflects the excellent team work of Boeing Shanghai,” said Bernard Hensey, CEO of Boeing Shanghai at the ceremony. “We value the strong support from our partner China Eastern Airlines and we hope this cooperation is one of many in future.”

Established on 25 June 1988, China Eastern Airlines, with it’s headquarters in Shanghai, China, is China's second-largest carrier by passenger numbers and the world’s third-biggest carrier by market value.  Currently CEA Group operates B737CL, B737NG, B767-300ER, B747-400 Freighter and B777-200 Freighter aircraft.

Boeing Shanghai was established in June 2006 as a joint venture between Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authorities and China Eastern Airlines.  Boeing Shanghai offers a broad range of services from engineering, aircraft maintenance and modification to material management, and component repair and overhaul.
