In order to create a friendly work environment, Boeing Shanghai has launched 5S campaign companywide.  5S kick-off meeting and session was conducted in February.  The Boeing Shanghai Leadership Team and 5S coordinators from various departments attended the training.

5S represents Sort, Simplify, Sweep, Standardize and Self-discipline.  Through 5S campaign we hope to raise everyone’s awareness to establish an organized and clean workplace, to control and improve the processes and to reduce waste.  All of these are the keys to ensure that we work safely and efficiently.

It is expected 5S is completely implemented in Boeing Shanghai at the end of May.

During 22nd Jan through 23rd Jan 2012, the Engine team, led by Taidong Xie, removed four Engine Thrust Reversers for B737-800 successfully after carefully reading the task cards and manuals.  This was the first time that Boeing Shanghai completed this kind of job, which reflects an important step to expand Boeing Shanghai’s capability on B737-800.
