MRO Asia was held in Beijing this year on 8-10 November.  Mr. Stuart Yang, Senior Sales Manager of Boeing Shanghai, delivered a speech on “Opportunities and Challenges of MRO in Asia Pacific” at the conference on Thursday 10th November.  This is our opportunity to showcase Boeing Shanghai’s strength and strategies to overcome these challenges, and the keys to staying competitive, informed and compliant in a global marketplace.

MRO Asia is the most airline-centric conference & exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region.  It is established as the place where airlines come to exchange their maintenance concerns and needs, and find effective solutions for both long and short term issues.  MRO Asia also facilitates this community and brings them together to develop a higher industry vision and encourage innovative cooperation among the MROs and airlines alike.

High quality is always a key element of Boeing Shanghai’s culture.  In order to further improve maintenance quality, an Employee Quality Council was established and a kick-off meeting was held at the end of October 2011.

We encourage every staff member to put forward any issues related to quality they found during the daily maintenance work and provide their suggestions.  The committee members will collect these issues, talk about them in the regular meetings, and develop solutions to resolve these issues.  The action plan will be put into practice after being approved by the management team.

It is Boeing Shanghai’s commitment to raise the bar on quality and serve our customers with superior service, thereby contribute to our customers’ and Boeing Shanghai future success.

Boeing Shanghai’s sports month ended with an exciting soccer match on 24th Aug between the top two teams: “Quality” and “IT, Logistic & HR Team”.

The rain did little to eliminate the players’ spirit during the competition.  After a long fight to overcome an early goal made by the Quality team in the 1st half, the IT team finally succumbed losing 2:0.

Congratulations to our Quality Team, both on their glorious win and in the same month achieving certification from the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine for line and base maintenance for 767s!

Boeing Shanghai launched its 2nd annual sports month in August with an opening ceremony on a sunny afternoon.  By joining in some recreation activities, the team celebrates our successful completion of the 3rd winglet modification on B767, the first interior modification on a B767 and numerous back to back C-checks maintenance over the last 3 months.

A hundred and ninety five players participate in the games, such as Tug of War, soccer, table tennis, rope skipping, badminton and Chinese chess.  What tremendous fighting team spirit was demonstrated in the events!
