16th July 2011, Boeing Shanghai hosted 45 children from Shanghai Children's Welfare Institution, which is part of“One Boeing and One Service Day” activity. It was synchronized with Boeing volunteer activities throughout the world.

This global event was initiated by Boeing Global Corporate Citizenship department, and is now introduced into China for the first time by Mr. Marc Allen, President of Boeing China, and Ms. Anne Roosevelt, Vice President of Global Corporate Citizenship.  Boeing Shanghai, in its continuing desire to improve the environment, called upon the experts at Jane Goodall Institute-Roots & Shoots to come do an assessment and make recommendations for improvement. These experts are high school students from Shanghai World Foreign Language High School. A team of 6 students, ages 16-17, spent the day touring our hangar and the office areas, interviewing over 40 employees and managers at Boeing Shanghai.

We were all very proud to deliver our first winglet modification performed on a 767 for Aerosvit. The customer is highly satisfied with our services.

Boeing Shanghai teamed with world-renowned Boeing AOG team to complete the modification, which was combined with a Pylon modification and a D-check. This project is another example of the value of the Boeing and Boeing Shanghai partnership.

With no time to take a breath, Boeing Shanghai started winglet modification on our second 767 aircraft for Aerosvit on May 7, 2011.

What a delight to meet and host our friends from Boeing Commercial Airline Services (CAS) Asia Pacific Sales Team in April 2011. It was a sunny day in Shanghai and our hangar was full.

The session was an opportunity to discuss how Boeing Shanghai can help our customers with Fleet Management Services (FMS). FMS allows customers to focus on core competency while their airplanes are receiving world-class maintenance services by Boeing and Boeing Shanghai.

Boeing Shanghai teamed with Boeing Sales working together to better serve our airline customers.

On 16 April 2011, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) kicked off its 7-week "Kaiya Cup" soccer match.

Boeing Shanghai put up 15 of our top footballers to compete in the games, including CEO Bernard Hensey. Our players have been looking forward to this match a long time and we are eager to show their soccer skills. The competition is stiff, but everyone enjoy the game.

A total of 12 teams and more than 170 players from CAAC, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Spring Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shanghai Airport, Air Traffic Control Bureau of East China, Boeing Shanghai, Shanghai Vocational School of CAAC, Kaiya and FASCO are participating to the event.
